Intruder Alarms

Intruder Alarms

Knowing your property is safe and secure is of paramount importance. Owners of domestic dwellings spend a great deal of time and effort in making their surroundings homely, comfortable and private. So, keeping unwanted strangers out is a basic need which must be addressed, especially where items of value are concerned. In particular, the significant repercussions involved with third parties accessing an individual's passwords and sensitive data by removing computers and devices from breached premises is of increasing concern.

Similarly, business owners need to be assured that their infrastructure is protected. Expensive equipment and customer data (imperative for GDPR) must be kept safe from prying eyes and thieving hands. Alarms are the most prolific and effective form of defence, but the range of solutions on the market can be bewildering. Let FSL help you to find and install the very best in protection to suit your needs.

Hardwired or Wireless

Hardwired or Wireless

In terms of how an Intruder Alarm is physically connected to your property, there are a couple of options: hardwired alarms, these require a cable from each device to the control panel, always our preferred method because they offer a greater level of resilience, and they don't require the changing of batteries. We endeavour to conceal all cabling under floorboards and carpets, but where there are insurmountable issues with the installation of cables through your property, FSL can provide a wireless system, ensuring a less disruptive solution. Another option is a hybrid system – a combination of hardwired and wireless can be a useful way of working around cabling limitations, proving ideal when updating an existing alarm system.

FSL Security can survey your existing system and provide options for moving forward, whether that be taking over the maintenance of your current system or providing an upgrade path.

Audible or Monitored

Audible or Monitored

Choose to have a system that sounds the alarm with a loud sounder activated at the property. This raises the alert to those nearby and most importantly deters an active intruder, who will likely flee once an alarm is triggered. For the next level in security, a monitored system provides a greater level of reassurance. This is connected to a 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre, which on receiving a signal can alert both the police and a minimum of two nominated key holders. Wherever you are, if your security is breached, you will be notified.

Design and Installation

Design and Installation

FSL Security is an NSI Gold accredited provider of Intruder Alarms, designing and installing bespoke systems specifically for the individual or company's unique requirements, rather than "off the peg" solutions. We offer both audible only and monitored systems and begin with a free property survey in order to assess the areas of weakness in your home or premises and subsequent requirements. Pets, in particular, can be a challenge, activating motion sensors and causing false alarms, however, through careful design, configuration and setup, this can be minimised.
